Something For Nothing by Ann Armitage

By Ann Armitage

Seems everybody wants something for nothing. A little extra, a bonus, a freebie, whatever names you may give it.

It is a pitiful state of affairs that society has reached this place. Everyone wants, even looks for something for nothing. We demand the "free with purchase", the BOGO, the bonus 60 for the price of 30 etcetera. Naturally, we really are paying for what we perceive to be getting gratis without realizing that we are. Did we truly need that item? Would we have bought it if we did not get something more? In all probability not crafty selling ,wouldn't you say?

The deplorable state of the economic system has sent vast amounts of people online in hunting for an alternate manner to make a bit of extra income. A few take a realistic plan of attack, meaning that they have the horse sense to realize that working a business or online plan from home will involve both a monetary and a time dedication. And they do not fear it. They adopt the challenge and do not anticipate "hand outs".

Others are attracted by the "something for nothing" offer. You know the ones...

"Join our team for free" Or "Start this business with no money"

Sounds fine, right? Hey, you will be able to be in business without dropping a dime! Untrue! In nearly every case, you will be asked to open your pocketbook to upgrade or buy merchandise so you can to in reality be in a place to earn any profit.

Consider this. Would McDonald's or Starbucks give away one of their franchises for zilch? NOT! Then why would it be any different with an online business enterprise?

Then there are the online marketers who offer irresistible tidbits in their advertising. Things like "I will advertise for you", "I will give you 1000's of free leads", "and "I will hold your hand and do all the work for you". The toughest to turn down is "I guarantee your success".

Everybody wants the biggest blast for their buck. It is human nature to want more, I suppose. However, if a person you do not know (and in all likelihood shouldn't trust) begins offering you the moon and stars think twice.

This becomes doubly important when it comes to cash gifting. Cash gifting has become the most popular method of generating cash both online and offline. Bank closures, people being stripped of their savings and the discouraging state of the economy have made cold hard cash in hand very attractive to an ever increasing number of people. Gifting activities like Abundant Living and Epic Wealth which are exceedingly affordable to the masses have memberships that are growing in leaps and bounds.

So, a note for those deliberating on a gifting program it is all-important to know that offering an incentive in any way is entirely illegal. If you chance upon such an offering, run do not walk away. Not from the company necessarily but decidedly from that individual. These people are caught up with in time and kicked out of the activity.

You know what 'they' say...

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
