Significant Types of Goals -
Id like to suggest a couple of areas to consider when setting goals:
Your spiritual goals are of utmost importance. Perhaps you need to re-examine your quiet time or start one if you don't already spend time alone with God. Plan when and where you will meet with the Lord during the week. Don't leave it to chance. Unless you set aside time, other things will fill your schedule.
Joining a small group within your church like a Sunday school class, prayer team, or support group that looks to find God's answers to difficult situations, is another great spiritual goal. It is even a great idea to start a small business prayer group within your church if one doesn't already exist. Offering your time to start a small group at your church is time well spent on achieving your goals, but it is even more important because you can make a big difference in other people's lives. Always focus on helping the lives of others, and God will take care of your life!
Serving others is another wonderful spiritual goal that uplifts the hearts of many. Consider joining the church that you currently attend, if you have not already joined as an official church member. Investigate the church ministries your church has to offer, and join some to help out other Christians that are in need. Also reach out and help as many people as you can who don't know the Lord yet. Start giving back to your church community along with your fellowship, and make this a year that is focused on the serving of others inside and outside your church.
Your Character goals are a very important part of your growth as a person, spouse, parent, child, friend, pastor, boss, or employee. See what answers you have to these questions:
1) What would I like to become?
2) What would be the one thing I would like to see God change in me?
3) What character quality could I improve upon to make me a better spouse, parent, friend, etc.?
I would like to share some great character goals that I have for myself:
* A husband worth respecting
* A father worth imitating
* A leader that is worth following
I want to strive hard to achieve these goals for myself, because it will lead me to a deep sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. If I am able to achieve these goals, it will make my time on earth worth having been here. . . . And it will set a precedent and direction for my children that, if followed, will ensure for them the highest quality of life they can experience as well. Why do I know these objectives are important to me? Because that is what God has called me to be. Since I know why I want to achieve these goals, I will have the high motivation needed to make the right choices for achieving my goals, and it will help guard me when temptation comes at me.
It's Important to implement Your Actions Now -
It doesn't matter if your objectives involve relationships, finances, or health, don't waste any time feeling bad that you have not taken any action yet. Just start to focus on the areas of your life that need specific goals, and go to work on them. It is never too late.
Design where you want your life to be in about six months to a year from now, and then lean on the power of God to give you all the strength you need to accomplish your goals. Have a friend or your spouse keep you accountable to your goals by having them check in with you from time to time, as this will help you stay on track.
To ensure that you use your time well, sit down and make a schedule for the coming days. When the year ends, you will be amazed that you are among the minority who ended the year with more goals accomplished for your Christian home business and the one with very little left undone. - 15224
